Getting Started

Helix Dialer is a dialer that lives inside GoHighLevel. There’s no separate softphone to install and no second tab to keep open — your agents stay on the GoHighLevel screens they already work in, and the dialer comes to them.

Once your agency has installed it, the left sidebar of each sub-account it was installed for gains three items:

Sidebar item Who sees it What it opens
Dialer Everyone The dialer bar — the agent’s phone
Dialer Admin Admins only The configuration screens: Live Agents, Campaigns, Contacts, Numbers, Vendors, Users, Settings
Dialer Logs Everyone Call history and reporting

The bar stays hidden until someone clicks Dialer. It then docks into GoHighLevel’s own top header and stays there while the agent moves around GoHighLevel, so a call survives the trip from a contact to a conversation to a dashboard.

All three open inside GoHighLevel rather than in a new tab, so signing in once covers all three.

Everyone on your account is either an Admin or an Agent. You choose which when you invite them, and you can change it later.

Admins configure the account: they buy numbers, build campaigns, invite people, and watch the floor. Dialer Admin is theirs alone — an agent who opens it is told Admins only.

Agents take and make calls. They join a campaign from the dialer bar and work it; they never see the configuration screens.

Both roles get Dialer Logs, but they see different things in it: an admin sees the whole account, an agent sees their own calls.

An agent taking calls Dialer — the bar and everything on it
Either Logs — calls, integrations and cost reporting

Before the first call goes out, an account needs all of this:

  1. An account — created once, on the Dialer Admin page, by whoever is setting the dialer up.
  2. A subscription — you buy agent seats. A seat is one person on your team; the number of seats is the cap on how many people you can invite.
  3. A connected GoHighLevel sub-account — the one your campaigns pull contacts from. Campaigns can’t run until it’s connected.
  4. Team members — invited under Users, each as an Admin or an Agent.
  5. Numbers — the numbers your campaigns dial out from and receive calls on. Each agent also gets a direct number of their own: their caller ID when they dial someone by hand, and the number that rings them directly. See Numbers.
  6. A campaign with a list — a campaign holds the dialing rules; a list supplies the people to call. A campaign with no list has nothing to dial.

Then an agent opens Dialer, picks the campaign, and goes ready.

  1. Installing — what your agency installs, and what appears in GoHighLevel afterwards.
  2. First setup — the path from a brand-new account to a campaign an agent can work.
