Contacts

Everything contact-shaped lives here: the lists your campaigns dial, the record of who each vendor has sent you, and the numbers that are off limits.

Go to Admin → Contacts. There are three tabs.

Tab What it holds When you’re here
Lists The lists you build and your campaigns dial Setting up a campaign’s lead source, or checking why a list isn’t producing calls
Vendor Lists One auto-created list per vendor — the record of the leads that vendor sent Confirming a vendor’s leads are actually arriving
Do Not Call Every contact flagged Do-Not-Call, suppressed account-wide Checking whether a number is blocked, and why a call was refused

Your GoHighLevel contacts sync into the dialer on their own and stay in sync as they change there. That synced copy is what the Do Not Call tab reads, and it’s where a list member’s name, state and tags on screen come from.

None of these tabs edit a person. Names, phone numbers, tags and the Do-Not-Call flag are all GoHighLevel’s — you change them there and the dialer follows. The one manual control over the sync, Re-sync from GHL, is on Settings → Account; it forces a full refresh and you shouldn’t normally need it.

You don’t add contacts on this screen. Members arrive from a GoHighLevel contacts screen, using the dialer’s own Add to List and Link smartlist buttons — see the dialer.

What you do here is create the list first, watch its health, and clean up afterwards. See Lists.

A list is a container. It only produces calls once a campaign is pointed at it, on that campaign’s Outbound tab — see Outbound settings. A list with a healthy member count and no campaign behind it is idle, and the Campaigns column on the Lists tab is where you’ll see that.

Vendor lists are the exception in the other direction: they can’t be dialed at all. They’re a roster of what arrived, not a queue — see Vendor Lists.
